Easy retrofit

Worked very well with existing can lights, choice of color/brightness levels is a nice feature.

Good idea, poor design

The light clarity is ok, not great compared to our other CRI 90+ lights. Spring clips are horribly designed and dig into the recessed lighting cup so hard that you can't remove the light. One clip snapped just trying to pull the light down to change the color temperature. Color temp is a nice feature to dial in the right tone for the room.

Good Value

As others had stated in their reviews, the mounting hardware that comes with this kit is NOT universal. In other words, it won't work for everyone in every situation. We had 6 inch cans in our kitchen and I thought the spring clips would work perfectly but it turns out our cans have a slight lip on them which forces the spring clips to go up at any angle and work their way out of the mounting hooks on the inside of the can. Outstanding value

These LED replacement fixtures are easy to install. They really change the feel of the room. Would buy them again.

Fitment Issues are True

So the standard mounting clip design does not work on a 6 inch can. They got the measurements wrong. It fits if you put one side at 6 inch and the other on the 5 inch screw hole setting but then the fixture is off center and you may see the drywall cutout. I thought about redrilling the mounting holes but just ended up using the alternate mounting hardware with the butterfly clips. That works OK. A little hard to fit.

Replacement for burn out bulb. 5 inch adjustment too small and 6 inchh too large. Fiddled with it and set one bracket for 6 in and other side bracket for 5 inch. Luckily this fit.

Excellent choice

very pleased with this unit bought 6 to put in a resturaunt, choose this one because its a 120 watt equivalent and wanted the extra brightness it gives, and the bonus is that you can install and then decide what looks best a soft white or day light color or something in between. now the only down side is its not sold in stores you have to order it online and get it shipped to you or the store so now yo will have to pay for shipping, oh and very easy to install.

Decided to upgrade from old fashion recessed light bulb to these retrofit LED. I installed few months ago new fixtures for my kitchen which had adjustable settings for lights which I love. So it was good for new fixtures in the kitchen bought the same manufacturer for retrofit upgrade. After removing the springs from old fixture that held the outside rim and inside slip, screwed the new fixture into the socket. Here comes the interesting part. Terrible mounting hardware for 6" cans

The lights seemed like a good idea given they can adjust color; however, these come with mounting brackets designed for 5" cans which can easily be swapped out for a set of springs intended for mounting in 6" cans. The springs are challenging to even insert into the 6" cans given the amount of play with the lights and even when they are properly mounted in they will not hold the light anywhere near flush to the ceiling. Avoid if you are fitting to a 6" can.
