Not only did it work, it worked fantastic! I put them inside and around the door frame so they are out of sight but still light up the interior. The option to trim the length was a huge bonus. The adhesive part failed miserably. When I peeled the lane off the back of the tape light, all of the adhesive stuck to the label, and none of it stuck to the light strip.
