What Customers Are Saying
The LED light bulbs offer bright, daylight-like illumination and energy efficiency, but have inconsistent reliability and lifespan. While some customers were satisfied with the performance, a significant number reported premature failures, with up to 50% of the bulbs failing within the first year. Common issues included short lifespan, flickering, and dimming. The overall consensus is that the product provides good value when functioning as expected, but the quality control and durability are inconsistent.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews. No dim
Would RecommendThe sales person is asking, do you have a dimmable setup, etc. and then sells me non dimmable bulbs, so I couldn't use my new chandelier because I had no bulbs. Better training, perhaps.
Utilitech 60W LED
Would RecommendPlaced these in 5 high end rental units 2 years ago. Have not had to replace any bulbs since. I am sure if the one that failed early was taken back to the store. They would replace it. They take pretty good care of their customers.

Finally LED bulbs in bulk!
Would RecommendI purchased several packages of these to convert a relative's house over from incandescent to cut down their electric bill and the cost of constantly replacing burnt out bulbs and they work great. I have to admit that the placement of this type must be considered when using it. Daylight bulbs are best in ceiling fixtures while non-daylight or soft whites are better in lamps and things which better mimics dusk.
You can do better
2 of the 6 burned out the first month.Don't wast your money.
DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LED BULBS. I bought 4 boxes to replace ugly spiral bulbs, Within a month two were not working and within six months five more were out or flickering. I will be returning the remaining ones. I would not even rate them one star but had to select at least one rating.
utilitech bulb failure
Would Not RecommendI have purchased 2 six packs of these bulbs in the last 18 months.Several of the bulbs flickered when first installed some worked fine for a while then either began to flicker or failed altogether. I won't buy this brand again.
3 out of 6 bulbs failed in less than a year
Would Not RecommendBought 6 bulbs: In three months, three have failed. One flashes like a strobe light, the others are dead. What a waste of money!
Very efficient Lighting
Would RecommendVery efficient lighting for my Portfolio 56-in Brushed Nickel Contemporary/Modern Standard Shaded Floor Lamp Indoor Floor Lamp with Metal Shade, at a reasonable.
short life
Would Not RecommendI bought these bulbs 11/1/16 put them in shortly after and yesterday 3/3/17 it stopped working. The light output was good but the life really stinks, 4 months. They should last longer.
Very blue
Would RecommendAt being a light bulb, they're fine. They turn on every time and are as bright as expected. The color is very much on the blue side. More than I thought they would be. Makes very distinct shadows. Doe snot even come close to matching normal bulbs. My wife likes the GE Reveal bulbs that are less yellow, but these are an extreme version of those. She likes them, but I am having trouble getting used to them.
2 of 6 bulbs failed in less than 4 months!
Would Not RecommendBought these thinking they were a good deal. 4 months in, 2 of the 6 bulbs failed. I am going to try and get a refund from Lowes, but as I don't have a receipt or original box, not sure they will. I would not recommend them.
8 of 12 failed within a couple of months
Would Not RecommendLoved the look of the daylight bulbs, but have had issues with them. 8 of 12 failed within a couple of months, and would either completely burn out or would barely light up.
Don't last!!
Would Not RecommendI bought these light bulbs for the valuable 6 pack. My first purchase was Sept '16 and I loved them so much I bought another round in Oct '16. I just replaced 6 of the bulbs tonight, 3 in my bathroom vanity and 3 outside porch lights. Save yourself time and money and buy the LEDs that are vented, not these ones!!!! Lowe's shouldn't sell LED bulbs that only last 5 months!!!!!!!!!!!
LED RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would RecommendReplaced light fixtures and decided on these, based on what a Lowe's employee told me. Now I need to replace all of my light bulbs with these. The different in the "daylight" are MASSIVE compared to a "standard" light-bulb. if they last as long as they say, WOO HOOOOOOO! I love the light these things give off!!
Worst bulbs I've ever purchased.
Would Not RecommendBought these bulbs after being told that led is the only way to go now and the extra purchase price would pay for itself. Well, no first one started flashing after a week and then the second one 2 weeks later. It's been a few months now and only one is left working. I would never purchase again.
awesome bulbs
these bulbs were purchased to replace CFC's in my kitchen. It was taking the CFC's about 2-3 minutes to come up to full potential when switch was thrown these bulbs come on at full brightness asap. they are awesome replacements for CFC bulbs
LED lights
Would RecommendLights are bright but not harsh. Most interested to see what savings I have, if any, on my electricity bill for the next few months
A Joke of a Warranty
Would Not RecommendI purchased a 6 pack of bulbs. Within a year, one went bad. I called the Utilitech customer service line. The phone rep was rude. He told me that I had to have the receipt to have the 5 year warranty honored. Unless you want to manage receipts for every light bulb purchase you make, stay away from Utilitech. A 5 year bulb that dies in year one is not a 5 year bulb. Utilitech makes promises that they have no intention of keeping.
These things are great!
Would RecommendLong story short: I had a lamp that needed a light bulb. Husband said to buy LED bulbs. Lowes had these for a good price, so I bought them. Put one in the lamp, and VOILA! It totally lit up the room. True story! I had a problem, this item solved it. Hey, it's not world peace, but now I can see the remote, and isn't that what really matters?
