What Customers Are Saying
The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the product. Many customers found the bulbs to be bright, energy-efficient, and a good value. However, the majority expressed significant concerns about the bulbs' durability and lifespan, with a large number reporting premature failures within a few months of use. The poor quality and short lifespan led many reviewers to conclude the bulbs are not worth the money and they would not recommend them. The consensus seems to be that while the bulbs may be inexpensive, the tradeoff is poor reliability and longevity.

Would Not RecommendThese are cheap and work fine.....for about half the time they’re supposed to last.
Lasted 2 months then disco flickers srive us crazy
Would Not RecommendBuy something else. I also bought a bunch. With normal use, 2-3 hours a day in kitchen and bathroom, they only last about 2 months then start to flicker. The flicker comes and goes, finally, they die.
Short life
Would Not RecommendBought a couple 6 packs of these bulbs about 2 years ago. The color and intensity of these bulbs were great but they completely failed to deliver on their lifespan. The majority of these have already burnt out. Note in my picture how the plastic had turned Brown, likely from running hotter than it's supposed to even though used as directed.

Died in less ~1 year
Would Not RecommendI bought several boxes of them and they are all dying one by one over a period of ~1 - 1.5 years. Start flickering, then go really dim and then just burn out. Whatever happened to 10 year life for an LED bulb!?
Worst light bulb ever
Would Not RecommendThese bulbs do not last very long. Within a few weeks they start to flicker in fixtures that are seldomly used. Then, you have to jiggle them to try to get them to work. And, yes, I have checked my lamps/fixtures and it is definitely the bulbs.

The best LED bulb made
Would RecommendWe now have had the Utilitech 60w bulbs in our home for over 10yrs and they all still work just great. We tried GE, Feit and Crees and they did not last a year in each case. So we were very sad to see that Lowes does not carry the Utilitech anymore. All our friends and family use the Utilitech and agree they work the best and last the longest, so why stop carrying them?
Unreliable LED bulb
Would Not RecommendI bought a pack of 6 bulbs a few months ago and several have given me trouble. One bulb went out and upon inspection the base was discolored and cracked in several places. I have had at least two that I have replaced because of intermediate, pronounced flickering of the bulb. These bulbs are far from flawless in their performance. I would not recommend them to anyone. I believe Lowe's does a disservice to its customers by having these bulbs on their shelves.

Very short life
I have had 5 bulbs fail in one year or less. Starts failing with an annoying dim/bright flicker. It becomes more often until it either remains dim (half or less brightness) continuously or the flicker can no longer be tolerated. Poor quality. If you buy, keep up with your receipts.
Hot hot hot
Would Not RecommendI honestly have not used these very long and I just changed the bulb in my daughters light in her room I went to turn it off and the plastic part was so hot I throught it was MELTING good thing I didn’t leave her light on for the night like she wanted me to! I removed the bulb and will be going with a different brand
Ehhhh.....
Would Not RecommendAll the hype is that LED bulbs will last 10 years, blah blah blah. At least the light quality is much better than CFL. Anyway, as cheap as these bulbs are, I didn't expect that level of performance. Color and everything was great, nice soft white lighting. I was a bit disappointed, but not surprised when 2 of the bulbs in my kitchen can lights began to dim after about 2-3 years or so. I was, however, mildly horrified to see that the porcelain on both of them was cracked- everywhere. Is this norm...

Low life
As stated, these bulbs do not live up to their 5000 hour lifespan. Lucky to get 100 hours of use.
Burns out quickly
Would Not RecommendI expect these bulbs to last more than a year, and it appears about half the time tfat is what happens. Disappointing. Otherwise, they are fine bulbs.
Same as regular bulb
Would Not RecommendI bought a pack these bulbs have had to replace two bulbs after 5 months. Only positive thing you don't have wait for the bulb to cool off.
Save your money and buy name brand
Would Not RecommendAfter just a short period of time these utilitech led bulbs are already flickering and going out. Have some Philips bulbs for the same period of time and zero problems out of them
Utilitech 60 Watt LED Light Bulbs
Would Not RecommendI bought 12 of these light bulbs in the fall of 2016. At that time they were rated at a 2,000 hour life (now they are 5,000 hours). I have 5 outdoor light fixtures on my front decks and the lights are on about 6 to 8 hours each night. In January of this year, ALL 5 lights started blinking on/off about 2 times per second.I have replaced the old ones with the new set - We'll see. I was too stupid to read the package when I bought them. Current LED lights with a 13,000 hour life are only chump chan...
dies off too soon
gonna take it back because it failed after just a few months
very short life, less than 8 mo
Would Not Recommendused 3 in bathroom vanity, in less than 8 mo 2 of 3 failed. Don't buy
Short Life
Would Not RecommendBought 6 bulbs for bathroom lighting. One bulb dead-on-arrival and returned for replacement. Two additional bulbs failed within in the first year. No where near the advertised 5000 hours. Outside of the short life product was fine.
Never again
Would Not RecommendThe Utilitech brand is junk. The bulbs do not last and the company is hiding from site. This is not a brand anyone should be purchasing. Lowes should not be selling this brand.
