very bright

have only used this light for 1 paint job so far and it worked out fine. the lights do tend to put off alot of heat. but since it's winter that didn't bother me. it might be a little much if being used in the summer months.

Good if it wasn't broken

Bought the light in the store, put it together and learned that one of the bulbs were broken. They are wrapped in plastic, placed in a box, and then secured inside the fixture; yet it was still broken. The bulb that wasn't broken is vey bright, too bad I have to waste time to take it back to the store.

Nice light, came with broken bulbs...

Wish they'd just replace the bulbs rather than making me disassemble, repack, and return the whole thing. Seems pretty stupid. Just give me two new bulbs!

Get what you pay for

The second day i had it one side was blown out. When i picked it up and moved it the other side blew out My first experience with halogen lights and i find them to be fragile. Replaced the bulbs and it's been working alright Can't speak on the long-term yet .

Purchased and NEVER worked correctly

Acknowledging the price is a bargain yet ONLY if it works. Light fixtures are ill-fitting as it is close to impossible to line up closing screw after installing bulb - I had to open and close each fixture several times as the lights DID NOT WORK upon plugging in. Instructions are pictures for which one must GUESS WHAT TO DO rather than addition of simple wording for clarification. Example - There is NOTHING to show or say where the switches for each fixture is -- seems logical to be the button...

Shoddy halogen work light

Avoid this product. It is packaged poorly and has fragile components. The first unit I picked up had two problems: a broken halogen bulb and a defective switch. On closer inspection, it was obvious the packing had been opened (never a good sign). Why the store elected to put it back on the shelf vs the waste bin is a mystery . . . . . . and a complete waste of time. I exchanged the first one for a second one. It's packing was intact.. Well worth the money

It does get hot, but other than that it is perfect for a DIY project.

Scary

We were excited to turn this on. Our backyard is very dark but was highly disappointed. We out everything the way instructed then turned it on and one side started smoking and almost caught fire.. we unplugged it immediately and returned it as soon as we got a chance. We like the small one we got no problems with that one.

Seems good after 1 day's use...

Seems good after 1 day's use. Unfortunately (1) bulb was broken in the package. Also, cord is too short. A 10-12-foot cord would be better as this requires an extension cord immediately adjacent.

one bulb not working

I switched them out to make sure it wasn't the switch. It was the bulb. still waiting to hear back from Customer Service......

Broke after a few hours....

Worked for one hour then one lamp went out, they run hot! Next day tried again only one worked, but then switch stuck in or meleted and would not shut off. Terrible product, just worthless.

Doesn't work out of the box

Nothing more to say. Assembled correctly, plugged in, nothing. worked in it 30 minutes, still nothing. Back to Lowe's we go.

Runs way too hot

You get what you pay for. This was cheap. The light output was great, however the metal became extremely hot and the light produced a lot of heat. I returned this product the next day. In my opinion not a very safe product as it burned my skin when I touched the back of the light after it was off for a few minutes.

Lights up my Work (as sung by - Debby Boone)

The light is great. The cord could be longer. The light is stable, very maneuverable. I was going to get the LED lights by craftsman, but this was less than half the price. Kept the box for neat storage. It lights up a large dark area. Lights are hot, nice in a cold environment; will be heck in the summer. I only need to use one of the lamps at a time and switching their use will make the light last twice as long I guess. Worth the money

Great work light

I had purchased this product for a large drywall job and one of my best investments, I also have one with just a single life great investment as well but the pole that detaches from the light was an awesome idea

Great light for the money. Nice and bright for my night work. Neighbor loves it too!

High quality

A very high quality halogen light. Especially for the price. Only downfall is the standard downfall of all halogen lights and that is the heat. I would recommend saving your money for an LED light.

Puts out a great deal of light or if you don't need both lights you can use one light instead of both.
