Would RecommendWas looking for a 1/2 hp pump, but Lowe's doesn't carry any, so we decided to give this one a try. It does seem to be doing a better job of emptying our pool than was expected. No problems so far.

Second one I've purchased !!!
Would RecommendI have 2 low spots on my property. I live next to the ocean. We've had lots of rain in the last couple years. I moved the first pump from one location to another and back, so decided to purchase another one. Both work great and do what I need them to do. Thanks !! Gary

Great investment
Would RecommendI bought a more expensive pump last year and it failed and was more than a year old so manufacture would do anything about it. I wish i would have bought this pump first, it serves the purpose better than the first pump i bought and a lot less expensive. My son can even set this up and he is 7, that how simple this pump is to use.

Does the job well.
Would RecommendI bought this to pump most of the water out of a flooded basement. The water wasn't very deep, but I found the lowest spot and was able to pump most of the water out quickly. My wet vac was able to finish the job. When I had tried to do the whole thing with the vac, I was having to empty it a lot and couldn't keep up with the inflow. This pump worked well.

Its good for what it is. If you are going to pump a lot of water I would go with a bigger pump

Did the job.
Would RecommendUsed it to pump about 8 inches of rain out of my mom's root/cellar house after getting over 12 inches of rain in less than a week. It got the job done, and was easy to use. Only problem is that the male hose connector on the top of the pump where you hook the garden hose to would spray a stream of water as it was not a tight fit, and that was trying 3 different hoses. Plumber's thread tape might of helped, but I didn't have any with me.

This pump does not last - avoid buying
Would Not RecommendI purchased a Utilitech pump (model #PPSU25 item #100078) at Lowes on September 6, 2011. I used it during the remaining season and the 2012 summer season to pump the water off my pool cover. I followed the directions and only plugged it in when required. It operated fine at the start of the 2013 season and by mid-June 2013, it just stopped working. This unit had a one year warranty, so do not expect it to last much beyond its warranty period.
Excelled at its job!
Would RecommendI found >2 1/2 inches of water in my basement on an especially rainy day in April. My house has no sump pump, so I went to Lowe's and purchased this pump after browsing the internet. It was affordable, I bought a garden hose to attach to it, came home and in a very short time had this little pump set up and working. It drained all the water in under 2 hours, as I was able to place it next to the poorly functioning floor drain (lowest spot in the basement), saving my furnace, washer and dryer. I ...

OK FOR PRICE
Would Not RecommendI bought this to pump out a little plastic duck pond (standard kiddie pool). I didnt want to pay more than a hundred for that task. Easy to use but It stops pumping for no apparent reason. Sometimes it pumps fine and can drain the pond / pool in ten mins, other times an hour. It doesnt appear to clog easy, it just doesnt want to work. with that said it can pump the waste water over hundred feet with ease. Maybe mine is a lemon....

I love this little pump!!
Would RecommendMy pool cover disappeared during a garage clean up and my 18 foot swimming pool wintered without it. When we began opening it for summer, we elected to pump instead of treat the water. This pump sucked out the water, algea, leaves, and muck that was in our pool. It took 5 ft of water down to 1/2 a foot in just under 6 hours. This little guy is now my favorite pool care accesory.
submersible utility pump
Would RecommendWe recently purchased the pump when it went on sale. Hooked it to a 50 foot hose, plugged it in put it in the water, flipped the switch and out the water came. Only used it twice so far, quiet and pumps continuously. Too soon to tell if durable and high quality

Good product
Would RecommendGood product. Would love to see one with an internal switch which senses flow and shuts off when water stops.
