I probably could have done without this purchase. The non-slip "rug" does not really stay in place, and I'm not sure that it adds anything

Definitely worth the additional cost!
This is perfect. The non-slip rug fit perfect to size and easy to place directly under my 6' round rug. Holds the rug in place, no slipping or sliding. For me, a necessary addition.

Do NOT buy for sealed concrete floors
I purchased this to protect stained and sealed concrete floors from scratches, and it completely stuck to the floors.

Non slip mat
Nice cut to fit under my circular rug nonslip mat. Holds the rug securely in place.

The pad is fine
Because I placed the rug in a low traffic area, this nonslip pad will be fine. It’s pretty thin and may not work in an area where people, a.k.a. kids, go across rapidly.
