Great utility item
I have a few of these pads under chair rugs in two offices, all under light rugs and against an uneven slate floor. They do a remarkable job of holding the rugs in place under chair movement (like rolling side to stand up), which would otherwise just result in sliding and buckling rugs. They are light, unobtrusive, cheap, and functional, which is pretty great.

Non slip rubber should be fine
Should be fine but I’m focusing on trying to get the rug itself to lay FLAT !!
