Would Not RecommendI bought one at Murphy, NC Lowes. Got home and noticed it had been re-taped closed. Opened it and found grass on it. I attached it to my Ryobi 40v head. Started using it and after about 60 seconds my Ryobi head started making bad noises. The trimmer gear box was so hot, I nearly burned myself just touching it. Back to Lowes, returned it, bought a replacement. Second one had not been opened. I attached it and started using it. Very sharp, cut everything in it's path. But, OMG, the great box burne...
Don't buy
Would Not RecommendFirst one I purchased had been previously returned, overheated and stressed my Ryobi head. Returned it, got another one. After 10 minutes of use the trimmer was too hot to even touch. Imagine what the lubricant inside was like. This is a disaster waiting to happen. No way this will hold up for a half hour use. Going back again. You get what you pay for.
Gearbox jammed.. never even cut anything
Would Not Recommendpower shaft would not turn as if gearbox was jammed..right out of the box..

Its junk.
Would Not RecommendI bought two of them and they broke after a few uses around the yard.
Good for reaching tall bushes.
Would RecommendI have extension cord powered hedge trimmers but the cord is a hassle. One of them is on a pole. But the motor is on the upper end and is too much for my 78 year old body. The AH721 String Trimmer Hedge Trimmer Attachment reduces the strain and hassle. My 18V battery powered string trimmer provides sufficient power.

Attaches well to Craftsman Bushwacker
Would RecommendIt works well on small stuff. Not as tough as a regular hedger but it allows to be held overhead longer for sure.

Broke After Two Uses
Would Not RecommendThought it would be a good attachment that would last awhile. I should have thought again... Didn't last at all and would snag on even the light shrub branches. The housing that holds the gears got extremely hot and the blade eventually stopped moving. Would never want to deal with this, again.
Echo pas 225 attachments .
It was very difficult attaching it to my echo pas 225 and twice as difficult trying to get it off. The blades are very dull.

Good generic option
Would RecommendWorks with my Ryobi 40V string trimmer, and it’s less expensive than the Ryobi hedge trimmer attachment. I recommend it.

Did not Work
Would Not RecommendDespite saying it was compatible with Craftsman it was not or it was broken. Connected and the hedge trimmer would not move despite the motor running and everything being connected. Could hear the shaft spinning but nothing from the trimmer.
You need to let it cool down before adjusting
Would RecommendIt gets too hot at the pivot point after less than 5 minutes of cutting to touch. I did like that the blades don't move when idling.
