Broke on first cut

Bought new at sto4e got it home set it up. Made one cut into small to .3 size shrub and it stop working. Checking on replacement.

Don not buy this trimmer

Received this as a gift. Used it for less than 1/2 hour and it stopped working. Returned it for another one. Used it for less than an hour and put it away for a few weeks. Tried trimming hedges again and it stopped working just like the first one did. Tried to return it to Lowes - But it was a couple weeks past their "30 day return policy". Good price, great tool

Does a great job for the very tall trees and bushes

Only lasted 15 minutes - Would not recommend

I was trimming Box Woods in front of house. The stems are not thick at all. I was able to trim the tops and front. The hedge trimmer just stopped working. Going to try to get a replacement and hopefully I just got a bad unit.

Broke in about 15 minutes.

Bought this and started trimming some bushes. In about 15 minutes I heard a snap and it would no longer function. Tried detaching and reattaching with no luck. I found a batter operated Kobalt Hedge Trimmer for about $15 more than this and it works great.

Worked fine for 10 min then nothing. I quess the gear in gearbox that connects to drive rod in trimmer stripped. Trimmer rod is fine.

Gave it a second chance

The first one was unable to make it thorough one shrub before the gears stripped out. That one was returned and replaced. The second one lasted almost twice as long. I am disappointed to say the least. I will return this as well, but I won't waste my time on a third try.

CRAP DONT WAST YOUR TIME

Got this home and attached it didn’t work didn’t do anything put the sleeve back on the blade set on the side . Went to take ot back just 2 day off the 30 and was told i could not return as it was just past the 30 day mark. OK but this merchandise is broken its never worked ???? We camtbyale it back Company policy ??? So im now put of $137 and have a crappy edge trimmer that doesn’t work. So Please dont purchase this save your money.

Will not last

I have owned two of these, the first one lasted about 2 trimmings “30 minutes” before it broke inside the gear box. It was replaced with another via warranty and it lasted about 20 minutes before it stopped working.

Good while it lasted

Used this maybe 5 times and on the 5th something internal broke. Troybuilt the manufacture was no help saying they have no history of issues with the shafts/gear failures in their system. But a quick search of reviews and you see there are other examples where customers have experienced the same failures. Buy a trimmer from another company.

waste of money

It doesnt work at all, thing oroduct is poorly made and doesnt work at all. Within 5 mins from the time i first attached it to a power head (that is manufatuer recomeneded for use with trimmer plus products) the trimming blades stopped engaging. Do not buy this product it is poorly built the mechanical parts inside the shaft that make the blades isolate failed befire i could even trim on single bush. This is NOT a robust machine.

One star because I couldn't give fewer. I was very excited to use this hedge trimmer. It looks well built. Apparently it isn't. This thing broke in the first minute of use on a branch about 1/8" thick. What a let down.

buy somehing else

The best thing i can say is that this looked great coming out of the box. It died 10 seconds into the first cut. It got clobbered by 1/4” boxwood. It still looks great going back into the box for return though.
