Would Not RecommendLowe’s “professional” installers did not like working with Trex boards. The boards warped and buckled soon after installation. Lowes did nothing about it. I contacted Trex and sent pictures; they said that the installation was ok. There is one row in the middle all the way across the deck that every other board sticks up If you are not watching you check your foot and fall. We are in our 70s and 80's just waiting to break something. Also, two of the boards on the side are pulling away from the ...

Worth the price
Would RecommendI replaced the top rail cap on a deck with this product - the customer was getting splinters and spilled drinks from the existing 5/4 decking rail. This product worked great and blended in well with the existing deck finish. I used the recessed screws and plugs so no screws were exposed. I joined the mitered corners with biscuits and composite adhesive for a well aligned finish.

It is a wait and see material.
I bought the first generation trex. It was Much heavier and thicker than this new style. This seems flimsy .My original trex has been down for 30 years and is still in usable shape. I will have to wait and see how this holds up. I did purchase some a while back that is breaking down and chipping away.

Trex Select Replacement Order
Would RecommendSo this was a replacement order. The original order took over three months from order to delivery. Part of the order had crooked and bent Trex Select Boards. I would like to thank Michael the store manager for personally reviewing the crooked order and staying on top of the re-order so that there was a timely delivery. Michael managed to get the reorder in less that two week. The hands on approach to correct the issue was much appreciated.
