Excellent Edger

This edger is excellent because it cuts my edging time to 20 minutes compared to the 1 hour with my string trimmer. I rated a 3 because the allen wrench that is used for assembly did not fit the fasteners. This could be a challenge and inconvience for someone that does not have their own tools. Time will tell when it comes to durability of the unit.

Edger works fine but hard to steer along sidewalk.

This edger works okay. It has plenty of power and does a nice job. However the rating is lower due to the actual design. It has just one rear wheel and a front skid plate which makes it difficult to keep it in line along the sidewalk. It would be better if there were 2 rear wheels and one front wheel. This edger is replacing a gas powered one that had 4 wheels and was very stable and easy to guide.

Yes, it’s a good gas pole edger replacement.

Only a couple of drawbacks to this fine yard tool. First, the shaft is two-piece and a bit short for tall users. Being two pieces makes it slightly flexible and less sturdy. Second, the bolt on handle is to flexible and with the shaft length can’t comfortably accommodate a tall user. What’s good is the power, weight, and ability to use the same batteries that power my lawnmower, string trimmer and blower. Just said goodbye to my Echo gas pole edger.

Solid Tool

Great Edger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would have given 5 stars but the lock nut that holds the blade in place often comes loose and requires tightening. I use the wrench provided which is very helpful and torque it as tight as possible. Other than that the edger is super powerful and easy to use. I used a gas edger for years and went electric/battery after wearing it out. The Toro product is a great replacement.

No more pushing a blade to edge down the sidewalk, we walk with it now. I will always use this tool and buy it again.

Great Battery Life -- Great Results!

Have had the flex force mower for two seasons and have been very pleased with it. I'm sensing that my next birthday present just might be a flex force blower!

Product Design Issue

The edger has the power to cut through grass on our sidewalk and driveway edges. The problem is the edger was designed for someone about 5’7” tall, I’m 6’2”. This makes it almost impossible to control. I have to push it on the skid plate instead of the rubber tire. I would Not purchase another one!!
