This was handed down to me and has been the real work horse of our urban farm. Would need and other tool for clearing properties or farm work. It moves great and is very durable with strong trimming capability.

I bought this walk behind trimmer March 2025. I have used it approx 30 hours until Aug/25. I have had to replace the part that glides on the ground three times as they wear out making the machine unusable. I’m not running it on rocks or gravel. I have an acreage so the ground is mostly hard dirt with the odd rock. So not abusing it. But three bumpers in that amount of time is excessive. And expensive. One-pull start is best feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every time I use the string mower, it starts the first time that I pull the cord. I have two acres of property and use the mower on just under an acre. It keeps on cutting through fairly thick and sometimes three foot tall brush and grasses with ease. I can't imagine going back to a weed-wacker type machine for my heavy-duty cutting needs.

Toro ?

I bought this string mower 3 weeks ago and the mow ball in the front wore out. Dealer is trying to find one for me but said its a wear part and may not be covered under warranty. I would think a Toro part would last longer.

Don't buy one you can't get new v-belts

Its great as long as the belt doesn't separate. I had it 2 months and now i can't get a v-belt for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a Good machine, loaded the oil and gas and it started on the very first pull. Very easy to pull start ,even my wife can start it. We have 5 acres of tall grass and weeds which is way easier with this type of string mower. Highly recommended.

No Pain, Lots to Gain!

Cuts well when it works

I purchased this machine, hoping it would cut time down for me weeding. After the first use, the next day it has leaked all the gas from the tank. Took into the shop for repairs. The following day I used it and it worked great for awhile. The mower head would not stop spinning when the mower bail was released, then it made a loud screeching noise. Great Mower

Parts missing

Received the mower and used it once the pulley on bottom of enging slide down as there wasn't any set screws in it or the bolt on the bottom of the shaft to hold it on. Can't get any response from Toro and Lowe's wouldn't take it back because it was used.

Great trimmer mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this model over others because the handle is straight (not angled) and is less likely to fatigue or break under heavy use. It is easy to unpack and set up right out of the box. I like how the line attaches to the head for fast line changes with no tools needed. It's sturdy and solid enough to handle rugged terrain, but still light enough to easily lift into a truck. Its well-balanced and rolls easily.

I only used it twice.It started fine and it worked fine.However,it’s going in to the shop today because three things went wrong.First,when I went to put gas in it,the harness that’s supposed to keep the cap on was loose from the neck of the gas’s tank.I couldn’t get it to fit back on.Then the deflectors lowest part came loose from the screw.I think a washer there might prevent that.The third thing that happened was that at some point I must have snagged the electric cord because that was hanging...

Performs as expected.

A great lightweight beast string trimmer

This machine is a beast and works very well and the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the same issue I found when looking at other manufacturers in that the height adjustment is not designed well on any of these walk behind trimmers and does not actually change the string hub height above the ground, so not sure what the deal is exc...
