Would RecommendWas looking for a butcher block to build a custom desktop and this is exactly what I needed. Cut it down to 7ft and using the remaining 1ft for a small shelf for my desktop. Started by lightly sanding with 80 grit, applied 2 coats of Danish Oil wiping off excess in between. Then sanded with 220 grit and applied 3 more coats of Danish Oil, again wiping off excess after about 10-15min of dry time before applying more. All done in about 3-4hrs.

Would Not RecommendWe bought the product, because it was “finished”. Upon opening the package, we found a warning that it must be finished by the user within 48 hours with finishing materials and tools. We had to spend additional $40 to do so.

It was well packaged to protect edges and sealed to keep moisture content controlled. It took my stain/polyurethane combo well and finished nicely.

However, I was surprised how many imperfections on the "good" sided needed to be fixed with wood filler prior to applying the oil.
