Installed the switch cover on an outdoor switch, tried to turn on the switch and it broke on the first try.

Super well designed.

Really well built. Much better than the others that just have two bolts. If your box takes the 4 bolt mounting design that this unit has then this is the most robust switch approach

Good combination cover

NEC compliant for damp locations. Compliant or not, it's often installed in wet locations too, once the in-use "bubble" type cover breaks a few times from UV deterioration. Broken bubble covers are a worse problem. It can be flipped to support installations with the switch on the left or right.

Short mount screws

Go with the Seimens metal version.

Installed this cover on an outdoor switch. It wouldn't flip the switch, it just stayed in the middle. reseated it several times thinking I did something wrong. TayMac usually makes solid products, this one doesn't make the cut. Returning in the morning.

Worked but fragile

As one reviewer said the 4 screws need to be stainless or what is the point. So replace the 4 included screws with stainless. Second, I used this thing for about 3 years but inside a greenhouse. The switch maybe got flipped 50 times a year. One day for no reason the toggle handle just fell off. Upon disassembly and inspection the toggle is simply very fragile. Its all plastic of course but if the material were stronger rather than this brittle material it would have lasted. So its ok but be very...

Doesn't Fit 2 Gang Box

Wished to use this with a Carlson 2 Gang box. for a GfCI and light switch. 1) I couldn't find a light switch that had a toggle that fit in the cover. 2) The Eaton GFICI also didn't fit.

Did not work

Would not keep switch flipped, I loved that it had 4 screws on the outside instead of just 2 in the middle since those broke off of my box but it will not hold the switch flipped on. Does not have enough range of motion

I had to align the light switch underneath the cover so It didn’t turn on at the very top of the exterior switch ( if you buy one it will make sense )but past that seems very waterproof and durable

Great non-metallic cover. I would give it 5 stars if the manufacturer would include stainless steel screws instead of zinc plated. They rust quickly in the environment where these plates excel.
