While this cover does allow enough clearance for you to have a regular, non-flat plug plugged into it with the cover closed, the "EZ Change" pin is not easy to pull out. There are reviews here where many people said it was easy for them, while a handful like me struggled with it (hammering and prying didnt work, had to use WD-40 to get the pin to budge). Once installed, I'm sure it will work fine, hopefully for a long time. However, it was far harder to install than it really needed to be. First, changing the installation from vertical to horizontal just requires removing a plastic pin and reinserting it the slot on a different side of the box.
