What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the humane, reusable design and appreciate its safety around children and pets. Many report immediate success catching mice using peanut butter bait, with some capturing multiple rodents within hours. However, a substantial number experience escape issues—mice push the door open after eating, chew through plastic, or the trap fails to fully close. Despite these reliability concerns, most customers value the ethical approach and reusable nature, though some find the latching mechanism too easily overridden.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was actually pretty easy to you. And now my cabinet is finally free from the mouse. I did have a bit of a hard time releasing but I think that was more cause I was nervous. I would definitely buy these.

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate this Tomcat live catch mouse trap because it’s more humane than other traps. It’s effective, too, as we’ve used live traps in the past.

Not worth time or money
Would Not RecommendLike many others, mice enter, eat, go home to chill. Lowes should stop carrying this brand. Was a waste for people who wish to release. It does NOT work.
Useless!
Would Not RecommendAbsolutely useless. Tried to use over a dozen time times, not one catch. Bait was all gone. I try to be humane and this is what I get.

Safer to use than poisons or snap traps
Would RecommendThese traps work very well when you have good bait. I used pieces of dry cat food which they loved. The scent lures them in, put the bait way in the back and boom they are caught. I tossed them way out in the bak yard. Lots of cats out there, no danger of poison.

Doesn't Work
Would Not RecommendI've been attempting to catch a single small mouse with zero luck. I have used lots of peanut butter, which it has enjoyed, but no catch. Very frustrating.

Catch and (immediately) Release!
Would Not RecommendI’ve found the trap snapped shut with bait gone and no mouse! It didn’t chew its way out. It found some way to get the bait and take off. This is incredibly frustrating!
