Would RecommendFlat or folded....It works well in either position. The flat panel slides easily under the bottom shelf of the shelving units along the walls of my garage. The folded units/boxes work well inside my home when they are set in the corners and when they are placed along the molding strips. Also, I like the fact that the folded units last a long time because after several insects are trapped on the bottom floor of the box I simply flip the box upside down where the sticky side is now on the bottom...
