Don't color your humming bird food
Would RecommendI filled this feeder with 1 part table sugar to 4 parts of boiling water. the humming birds showed up a few days later. I guess the feeder works fine. I haven't gotten any complaints from the birds.

Would RecommendI like that this product is glass and not plastic. With the Texas summers, I have had plastice feeders melt on the hook, literally. It is easy to open, fill and close.
