A simple solution

I purchased a pendent light for my dining room. The original ceiling fixture was not centered for the table. So I purchased a light with a chain so I could center it. The hook was used to hang the pendant light from.

Easy install!

These are my favorite hooks for hanging things from the ceiling. Super easy install and look nice.

Do not recommend

I tried to install this hook in my ceiling and the screw would not tighten. I now have the metal anchor and a hole in my ceiling without a plant. This hook is useless.

Unable to use out of the box

I don’t write many reviews. This flaw is infuriating to figure out and I don’t want anyone else to waste their time like I did. If using the toggle bolt in normal 1/2” drywall ceiling to hold a small basket, the threaded rod will not screw in all the way and the hook will not be tight to the ceiling. It is tapered, i.e. the toggle bolt thread and the hook thread are slightly different diameters. The solution is to cut off about 5/8” of the “hook” side of the threaded rod with a Dremel or ot...

Great Universal Hook

Just stopped in to check store availability. We have used a dozen of these hooks. Installed inside in with 3/8" swag mounts (size is stamped on the toggle) in hollow ceiling areas with no issues. We have hanging plants and lights, thanks Maryland for building houses with switched outlets in bedrooms instead of ceiling lights. We used the screws in windows without drilling, be careful to turn at the base to prevent breaking the hooks. None of the things hanging are over 25 lbs. Headed to Lowe's a...

Needs to be re-tightened often; breaks easily

As the title says. Having to re-tighten, and sometimes replace, these hooks every month really makes them a hassle.

Holds Plants as Designed

I have bought 4 or 5 of these recently and hung numerous plants. All screwed into studs, some pre-drilled, some not. All of them work as designed and I have experienced no failures. 4 stars because the packaging was damaged on almost all of them, making me pick through the box at Lowe’s to retrieve all the parts.
