Black steel hook

The piece itself appears to be substantial wrought iron, good for hanging a planter. The screws that came with it are ok for light hangings, but I wanted to hag 50lbs, so I replaced the screws and it now holds a large set of chimes. It was a near perfect solution because like most brackets the top and bottom ends are a bit too short to allow a comfortable fit with most drills today. An extra inch on both ends would have made for a more comfortable installation task.

Strong, versitile

I actually mounted mine upside down from the picture, works fine this way, holds my basket better and a little further away from house so when plants get bigger they have more room to spread out. They have been up 7 years now and are still perfect, no rust and have never failed. The paint has faded and gone flat but that is expected. I am buying 2 more for another location I am using.

Really liked the size and the look, but falling apart during installation...piece of junk...don't waste your time and money

Perfect!

Attractive and just the right size for my needs. Note that 9-inch refers to the depth, not the height of the base. The base fit nicely on the 7" lumber I was mounting it on. As another reviewer said, the screws are typical (i.e., easily stripped), so be sure to drill a pilot hole before installing.

About those Screws

The screws that came with the product were typical screws. They worked fine even in hard wood after drilling a small hole first. No problem.

best plant hanger i have found !!

hanger is long enough so that a purchased hanging plant does not hit the wall behind it.

Nice hook, terrible hardware

The screws that come with this hook are absolute garbage. I destroyed 2 of them with a hand screwdriver in trying to put them into wooden posts. What should have been a quick and simple project was made harder because they skimped on a couple of screws.

I purchased 4 and they are heavy duty. Went back today to get another any they were sold out.

Good sturdy hook, cheapy screws

We have four of these, two big, two small. They are beautiful and sturdy for our plants. However, the screws stripped when I tried to drill them in, even with drilling a hole first. I had to use channel-lock pliers to get them out to replace with different, real screws.

Classy heavy duty plant hook

Sturdy heavy gauge wrought iron plant hangar. Not just straight armed but with some "classy" swirls. Easy to install with provided screws. Decent price.

It's a hook

We hung it up. It holds the baskets. It does exactly what we bought it for.

Decorative

These hangers added a nice look to our porch, but the screws were cheap. The heads rounded off with a screw driver so had to go get new screws to work.

very pretty

The scrollwork is both pretty and handy for hanging different size plants. It installed easily and quickly.

great plant hanger

attaches easily with screws, looks great with plants or lanterns attached. hangs out just far enough to hang items, but not too far to walk into. Purchased one last year, and it weathered well, so decided to get two more. A great buy!

Great Buy

Looked at a lot of hooks trying to find one that would hold my stacking planters which way a lot when watered. This was the best one I found and the price was lower than some that couldn't hold the weight.
