My husband always loses all his tape measures or the tape measure breaks after a few uses. With this awesome tape measure we don't have to worry about losing it because it's very large! Nice tape measure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is slightly larger than the 25 ft, it is not to big to carry around. I like the auto lock feature and the fact you can "turn it off/disable it". I was able to get 130 inches of stand out, probably could have got a few more inches, but it was difficult to take the photo. The framing hook was difficult to attach at first, but I finally got it to go on and off. Sturdy and nice to hold. Overall I like this tape.

Auto lock button broke after a week's use

Auto lock button needed to be made much stronger. It failed after one week of light use and now the tape will not go back in. Makes it worthless. Far to expensive of a tool to be this easy to break. The plastic and rubber case is strong but the button for the auto lock is not.

Standout length

Bought this product three years ago, and have used it constantly, as it has great ability to measure vertically and standout distances. Only problemid=s the tape lock feature which faild after about 19 months usage

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first purchased this I expected to be like any other tape measure, but boy was I in for a delightful surprise. The width and clarity of the tape was incredible. I have a hard time seeing and when I got my fat max i couldn't believe it I could actually see and read the tape. I was so impressed I went and bought two more tapes, a 16' and a 25'. Great Product as usual.

Blade won't retract

Bought this for light home use 6 months ago and over the weekend I was putting up some shelves and in the middle of the project the blade became stuck out and won't go back in even with pushing. Total junk for a premium price. Luckily I had my old Stanley Powerlock to finish the job with. Took it back to home improvement retailer and they said they couldn't do anything for me. I'd have to take it up with Stanley.

Ends come off!

Great tape, other than the fact the ends come off & make it useless.

well worth the extra money

I originally bought a Kobalt tape measure, but it failed within 4 hours. I got this as a replacement. It is a much better tape. I like that the "AUTO-LOCK" feature can be turned on or off.

not quite as good as I expected.

All good except it doesn't stay hooked on an edge to allow measuring the length of a wall as well as I would have expected.
