This switch strikes a great balance between the others I’ve used, and the sensitivity is just right. Under the physical button theres the handy switches you’d expect to see to set the timer. Well made and easy to install.

Smooth Motion Lights

Only install issue I ran into was the original box I was going to put it in was older and could not accommodate the depth. Standard boxes have plenty of space for it. The adjustable dials were useful to help hone in the settings and make it the perfect time and range of monitoring. Definitely will be my new default motion light switches.

Motion Sensor

I have a light switch at the beginning of the steps but if the main floor lights aren't on, I'm fumbling trying to find it. Not once did I ever consider an infrared motion sensor light switch. I put it in my bathroom and now I no longer have to use a night light. Automatically comes on when it senses movement and it shuts off automatically. I highly recommend.

Great fixture with limitations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sensor switch has a great range of coverage and works best up to 320 square feet. Make sure you understand the limitations of this switch, in the occupancy setting the light will come automatically but you have to turn the switch off. In the vacancy setting you have to turn the light on and it will go out automatically. The wall plates are first class and provide a great finish to a nice switch. Works for me!

I did, however, manage to flip the breaker (cut the power) and successfully install this switch. This is even though my house was built in 1977. Before I ordered this, I took the old plate off of the old switch and looked inside to see if there was a ground. I did see some shiny copper in the back of the tiny old switch box, assumed it was ground...

Great feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect application for garage lighting. Yes, the little bulb turns on when the garage door opener is used, but that is never enough for me. I hooked this into my ceiling lights so that whenever anyone is in the garage or a car is pulling in all the lights turn on. Then after they leave they turn off automatically.

Sleek design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband recently installed the Square D motion sensored light switch and I think it works great. Whenever you walk by it clicks on so your not in the dark. Nice clean white, sleek design. Warning though, the sensor is very sensitive. Don't install too close to anywhere you sleep unless you intend on the light turning on ever time you move. Mine is installed in the dark part of my house and it's perfect.

So if you set for vacancy, you turn it on and when it senses no one in room, it turns off. Schneider Electric is redesigning electrical switches and outlets. The look is different, so if you are remodeling, it might be good to change out all in one room or area so the look is the same.
