What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the cutting performance through tough materials like stainless steel, cast iron, and thick wood, with many highlighting rapid plug ejection and sustained sharpness across multiple holes. The heavy-duty construction and depth capability earn consistent commendation for professional-grade quality. However, some report durability concerns including carbide teeth splaying or premature bit breakage, and a few experienced pilot bit failure or difficulty removing plugs. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a reliable, high-performing tool that delivers strong value.

Would Not RecommendAll it took were a few 2x4s with some nails in them to dull the teeth of my saw enough to render them practically useless. I’ve had this saw for less than 4 hours and now I have to get a new one. Total garbage. The only positive thing I can say is the rapid core eject works… if only I could cut through anything. I certainly won’t be buying any Spyder products ever again.
I was rewiring an old house. I purchased this hole saw to cut holes for electrical Junction boxes, where occasionally I woud hit a nail, my regular hole saws were being destroyed. The spyder Carbide tip got the job done
This bit drilled through 3/16" diamond plate in no time. The bit is still sharp!!

Best I have ever used
Would RecommendThe ejection system is awesome, they are heavy duty, sharp, and easy to use. I won't buy anything else.
My new “go to” hole saw.
Would RecommendA homerun from Spyder. Perfect for wood with nails. Perfect for lath and plaster (my preferred hole saw for that). If you need to shoot holes in concrete (or concrete impregnated materials, don’t be an idiot...,use a diamond hole saw (yes, I’m referring to other idiots who have given this hole saw poor reviews because it wasn’t a “magic bullet” for their improperly selected hole saw for the application needed :)

Best!
Would RecommendThese are the best home saw you can buy at Lowe’s or HD and let me tell you it is very good! I use it to cut solid surface material and this thing just go threw like butter. I’ve tried all the other brands and just dealt with them. I bought this Spyder because it was all they had in 1 3/8. Wished I’d have known about this brand before. Worth the money!!!

Hole saw won't tighten on the arbor.
Would Not RecommendBought this to drill a finished holes in 3/8" plywood. There is a lot of slop because the hole saw does not tighten on the arbor therefor there is unwanted chattering and movement when sawing which leaves a ragged hole. The only good thing is how it ejects the plug.
Not worth the money
Would Not RecommendPurchase to cut thru 12 gauge corrugated steel sheet after my old Lenox was dulled and half of the teeth were gone in 20 seconds. My dull Lenox made it thru further. Between buying this hole saw and the arbor I was wasted $50 and a hour of my time.
Perfect Hole
Would RecommendWorked perfectly for cutting holes for a light junction box in the corrugated metal sheeting that we are using as an interior ceiling cover. Need to keep RPM’s high on the drill and hold on tight and provide very slow perpendicular force and let the carbide teeth do their work.

best hole saw ever!
Would RecommendI have used many hole saws and always end up spending more time getting the plug out than drilling the hole. Not with Spider! Easy push button to remove the plug. This thing will drill thru anything and fast!

Dont waste your money
Would Not RecommendBought a 4 1/4" to cut a hole for dryer vent. Went right thru the wood sill plate (like most do) but when I tried going thru the brick got stopped in its tracks! Would not cut thru it. Very disappointed in it and will be returning it tomorrow for my money back.
Not good for metal siding.
Would Not RecommendWe bought this specifically to drill into metal siding (it says it's for metal). Went nice and slow, but it cuts with a mess, stopped using it. Not recommended for metal siding.
