What Customers Are Saying
The Spyder Diamond Edge Hole Saw Bit provides mixed performance. It cuts clean, smooth holes through a variety of materials like tile, glass, and granite, with a durable diamond coating that lasts for multiple uses. However, the bit can wear out or break quickly, especially when used on tougher surfaces like porcelain tile. Proper use with a drill press and water cooling can help extend the bit's lifespan, but users may need to replace it more frequently than expected.

Would Not RecommendPerfect for granite countertops
Cuts Well, Dulls Fast
Would Not RecommendI've used several different brands of these diamond hole saws. this has been the worst brand I've used so far. It took three of these Spyder bits to achieve the same amount of holes that one Kobalt bit previously did, with the last of the three dulling after just one hole. These are not durable and I would not recommend for professionals
Poor Packaging Quality
Would Not RecommendWebsite states 1.5" and hole saw package contents are 1/2" with the same product number. What gives? Has this happened to anyone else?
Absolute garbage!
Would Not RecommendAbsolute piece of garbage! Barely drilled one hole through my tile. I only bought this as I didn’t have my Milwaukee drill bit on me. Don’t waste your money, buy the Milwaukee brand

if you think you need one, get two.
Would RecommendWorked as directed, was able to push out plug easily.
Disappointed
Would Not RecommendI don't know what's happening. I went through 3 of these and couldn't get 3 holes drilled. The tips just smoothed out in no time. Thought I just got a bad one. But 3 is a little excessive. I got at least 6 holes out of the last 2 Spyder bits.
Wore out after 3 holes in tile
Would Not RecommendWorked great at first, then all the diamond wore off and was useless.
Great cutting tool
Would RecommendUsed on a brand new porcelain tile walk-in shower. Cut through tile like butter, no cracking or sparing of tile. Make sure you start the cut at a 45 degree angle as instructions stipulate and you'll be fine.

Use water for coolant and don’t gorse it
Would RecommendUsed this to install a tub faucet trough porcelain tile, worked well.
Does its job!
Would RecommendI have been building a bottle wall on and off for years, drilling holes in the bottom of bottles to string them in rebar. This diamond Chipped bit, like its four other cousins, went through over 250 bottles like buttah! Do they eventually lose their cutting power? Of course, but it takes a long time! Would I buy it again? Yes!
Cuts good, hard to control
Would Not RecommendDO NOT DRILL STRAIGHT DOWN! This hole saw cuts well once you get it properly started. The blade likes to walk away from your intended cutting point! Having no center arbor makes it difficult to control until you have cut grooves. The process for using this hole saw demands that you cut grooves all the way around the hole by tilting the hole saw. A timely process! Once you have established a full circle you can cut straight through like most hole saws work. Requires extra time and attention to...

Diamond bit a washout
Would Not RecommendProduct started off well but quickly dulled. Then it hung up and twisted like a pretzel.

John
Would RecommendIt was good
Not all made the same
Used two to install grab bars in bath. First one did most of the holes for both bars. Switched to the second one for the last three holes and it wore out before the third hole was finished. Second bit was just poorly made. I believe they have quality control issues.

Good piece but check if depth matches your need
Would RecommendIt did give a clean cut and was rather easy to work with, however the only downside is that the depth is not enough to cut all the way through my quartz countertop.
Junk
Would Not RecommendThis diamond drill cutter did not last. It was kept cool and water was used. It did not survive its one use. Cheaper diamond whole cutters lasted much longer.
Hole
Works but took over 15 hours to drill a hole. Best to add water to hole so drill doesn’t over heat

It didn't hold up.
Would Not RecommendIt did not hold up to the task of drilling a hole in my porcelain tile. I went through two of them, for one tiny hole.
