What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this scraper for dramatically reducing labor time on light removal tasks like carpet padding and vinyl flooring, with many calling it a "time saver" for softer adhesives. However, a significant portion report blades breaking within minutes of use, especially under pressure or on hardened materials, describing the design as "fragile" and "flimsy." Success depends heavily on application and blade size, with the 4-inch blade proving more manageable. While most find it effective for occasional light use, durability issues frustrate those expecting heavy-duty performance. Overall, reviewers recommend it only for minimal-pressure jobs.

Did not work well on commercial VCT removal. Worked well on sheet vinyl though. It may have had something to do with it being used on reciprocating saw, the design would be better suited for a multi tool

Fragile
Would Not RecommendLasted 5 minutes before snapping. Broke 2 and didn’t bother with the larger one

Not viable option for thin set removal
Would Not RecommendTried to remove thin set after breaking up the tile first with a chisel. It started wearing down quick then broke at the locking mechanism within 15 minutes.

Wow
Would RecommendBlew through the job compared to a long handle scraper. Wish I knew about these when I started the project.
lasted less than 15 mins before breaking
Would Not RecommendSpent a lot for less than 15 min of use. Disappointing.
takes a little getting use to, if using it on something like wood, learn on a scrape wood first; that was the mistake I made, it ended well did a good job and very fast

Not Clearly designed to handle workloads
Would Not RecommendWhen I purchased these I was doing a bathroom remodel and removal of grout as well as scraping the payment for re-grouting of some tiles. It bounced around wildly and clearly didn't perform as advertised. Since I wore the blades down in trying to remove the grout and cracking tile I can't return them to the store for a refund or replacement. Stick with a Multi-Max/Oscillation Tool to remove the grout between tiles or having to clean up under the tile and strip off old sealant/grout.

Would Not RecommendSPyder has some great products but this is not one of them. It will tear your saw zaw all to oieces and will break your wrist if your not carefull. I bought this product to take off some glue off the subfloor.

Great scrapers
Thesrs are great scrapers. I use them all the time to scrape off vinyl flooring. Quality product and great price.
Very durable.
Would RecommendPicked up a pack of these Spyder scraper attachments today. Used them to scrape paint. Did an excellent job. Highly recommend them.
Great for ripping up old carpet
Would RecommendBought this in the hopes of making tearing up carpet easier. Made fast work of it. Especially the old matted padding. Recommended to all my friends in the trade and is the only way I will handle that task from now on.
Works well for a few minutes then breaks
Would Not RecommendThe two smaller blades broke within the first 10 minutes of use. On peel and stick tiles, once it hits a spot that has extra glue it snaps at the attachment. Not worth $1.00 a blade if you are doing large floors due to down time.
