What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this scraper for dramatically reducing labor time on light removal tasks like carpet padding and vinyl flooring, with many calling it a "time saver" for softer adhesives. However, a significant portion report blades breaking within minutes of use, especially under pressure or on hardened materials, describing the design as "fragile" and "flimsy." Success depends heavily on application and blade size, with the 4-inch blade proving more manageable. While most find it effective for occasional light use, durability issues frustrate those expecting heavy-duty performance. Overall, reviewers recommend it only for minimal-pressure jobs.

Scraper
Would RecommendI used these to take up tile and mortar from a kitchen. They were perfect and reduced the amount of time dramatically.

Poor design - don't buy
Would Not RecommendThey didn't even last five minutes on a small thinset removal job. Snapped off at the base. Waste of money!

Spyder 3-Pack Reciprocating Saw Scraper Attachment
Would RecommendWorked great to get carpet pad glue off a concrete floor.

Spyder scraper - 3 pack
Would Not RecommendI saw this on a YouTube for pulling up a stapled and nailed particle board from the subfloor. This looked like it would work better than it actually did. Now, my reciprocating saw isn’t that great, but I still found the claw pry bar worked way better - and faster - and even a flat, square shovel.

Saw Chisels
Purchased to help with multilayered linoleum removal. Like other users it took a few test runs. Must be real careful with plywood underlayment!

sawzall scrapers
Would RecommendWorked great for getting some linoleum off a kitchen subfloor. Sharpening is tricky though; if you don't round the corners it wants to dig in like a chisel.

Made the job a lot easier!
Would RecommendI needed to remove the backing of an outdoor balcony carpet (100 sq ft) that was adhered to the concrete. After much exertion with a manual floor scraper, I tried the Spyder Scrapers. I started with the 4" and took the advice of other reviewers regarding the angle, and the blade heating up causing breakage. Definitely start at about 25 degree angle to prevent kickback, let the blade do the work and just guide the reciprocating saw, and stop frequently to allow the blade to cool. I stopped abou...

Spyder Reciprocating Saw Blade 3 Pack
Would RecommendI used these blades to remove glued-on sheets of linoleum flooring. With many uses, these are often the go-to attachment for last efforts. Take caution using these: keep both hands on the tool and cords out of the way... Attachment faults: they seem to break mostly at the tool connection (don’t force the blade and let the tool do the work).
