This is the only filter that's in stock at both of my nearby Central Florida Lowes stores, and it does very little to soften water. I'm sure it's fine for other areas with softer water.

Replace filter every 3 or 4 months

Not a good fit out of box

The fitting that the shower head attaches too. Is not the same size as the pipe out of the wall for the shower. I had to use jb weld to attach the shower head. It was almost the proper size. But as soon as the shower head would get snug, it would pop loose and leak water everywhere. Other than that it seems to be a good fit and work decently

A little crazy to install.

Leaks out of the box

I bought one and installed it began leaking within 1 minute of water pressure going through it. Removed it cleaned the seals and re installed, still leaked. Returned it to the store and got another one from a different box on the shelf. Same problem.... Not going back to the store again so I used teflon pipe seal tape and wrapped it up to prevent it from leaking. We will see how long it holds up.

It’s the only choice besides a whole water system after a few changes of the filter you have replace te whole head. Sometimes the dial to change the months does not turn
