They have a decent amount of stretch without losing strength. Don't be a dummy like me and not realize they're a variety pack - they come in a few different sizes. I ended up having to go back and get some rope, but I kept the bungees anyways because they're good quality and I'm sure I'll use them at some point.

I ordered these for our move, instead of renting ones from U-Haul. I figured it would be easy to just go pick some out. The title reads 10 pack 1ft bungees. So I thought I was getting 10 1ft bungees- apparently this is a value pack that has various sizes! Still worked, just a tad misleading.
