The top is warped and does not lay flat. After some time, I have a new top coming. We will see if that works out.

Top Warped
Owned the table for three months and the wood table top has curled up on both sides about an inch. There is now a gap between the base and top. If you set a drink on the opening side of the lift top, it slides toward the center of the table. It is an Embarrassing piece of furniture that has been moved to the basement for storing kids toys. Do not buy.

Very nice looking table.
We love the table but had to take it apart to fix it and also replace the screws they used. A 20 minute process turned into over an hour. We didn't want to return it and have to wait for another to be sent out.

Nice look, horrible constuction
Horrible! Within 6 months, the table starting cracking and it doesnt even close all the way. Complete waste of money and of course, Ashley Furniture wont do anything about it.
