The book shelf part has hinges that are pre-attached to the back and sides. You are supposed to open the sides, 90 degrees, to allow the shelfs to be placed in-between the two sides and back. Upon opening the sides, they only opened about 60 degrees instead of the 90 degrees they were supposed to open to. When a little pressure was applied to the side, it split the particleboard without ever getting close to the 90 degree mark.

Great Quality Dining Set
It's a very durable, high quality set. I bought it as a gift, and my sister absolutely loves it. She thinks it's so beautiful and can't wait to have company over her new place because of it.

It’s ok. But great. Cheap materials for the price. The one we bought for our other house was much better made. Wife not too fond of the grey. Did not look like this in the photo. Felt deceived.

Minor manufacturer defect, but otherwise great
The manufacturer put a hole in the top of the table, filled it in with putty, and painted over it. I have to keep a placemat on the table to cover it, but otherwise it seems great.

Beautiful & Sturdy!
LOVE this table! It’s beautiful, sturdy, pretty easy to assemble, & fits our space perfectly. I misread the “Seats 4” as it came with 4 chairs, not that 4 people can sit at it so that sucked, I think it should specify that it does not come with any chairs better but other than that I’m thrilled with this purchase.
