Would Not RecommendPrefilter? No. Fits over inner foam filter only, not outer paper filter. I bought a "prefilter" to put over the outer paper filter to make it last longer. Nope, sorry. Universal? Maybe for the inner foam filter. Says large, way too small for a 12 gal Shop-Vac large paper filter. Never even tried to fit it over the foam filter so I never got to the point that it tears. Back to Lowes. Maybe the De Pot will have an actual prefilter...
