Does not fit. Has no hole for the mounting screw to fit through. I thought I could make it fit by drilling a hole in the end.. no way, the filter is to long to fit the Ridged wet and dry vac...

Great fit

My 5.0, 12 Gal, Ridgid shop vac is about 10 years old and the filter was held in place with a plastic nut. This filter does not need one and snugly fit in place. Nice upgrade.

Filter

It might fit for some of you, but unfortunately it did not fit my Rigid shop vac, it was too tall and the lid would not shut. Good thing Lowes make returns easy

Different from previous filter, but it works

Packaging said it fits most Rigid wet/dry vacs. Installation instructions said it doesn't require the lock nut used by the previous (original) filter. I was skeptical, but it fit snugly and doesn't have a hole for the locking bolt to go through. Haven't used it yet, but I believe it will work fine.

Ridgid Cartridge Filter

Fits the Craftsman vac. A little different design because it just pushes on with out screw hold in. Seems to fit real well. Just got it and only time will tell.

Nice filter

This filter was easy to replace and was much nicer than the one that came with the shop vac.

Perfect fit

At first i was a skeptic as this filter does not use the Ridgid nut, retainer to hold it onto the vacuum. But it works perfectly...

NOT for all Craftsman vacuums

The product labeling claims this filter will also work on Craftsman vacuums. Not so. I strongly recommend one bring in the old (Craftsman) filter to match up with this one. This filter MAY work on some Craftsman vacuums, just not the 16-gallon one I own. I'm sure the filter is adequate for the correct fittings.

Great Substitute

Although not the original design, this filter makes my vac work and that is so much better than the alternative. It is difficult to get excited about a vacuum filter.

Excellent life

I had used the previous filter probably longer than it was designed. I carefully slapped the filter to release lots of the dust and continued to use it. But thought it was time for a change. I recommend the product and the filter to anyone.

Finally

I've been putting off buying a filter for my 20 year old shop vac until now. I kept blowing out the old filter through the years. Finally I decided to go to Lowes and look for a replacement filter. Found it and very happy with my purchase. The price was less than I expected. To my surprise it fit perfectly and I was able to get rid of the retainer disc and plastic nut. Now, I won't wait as long to replace the filter.

Highly Recommend

Fit my Ridged wet dry vac perfectly. No need to use plastic nut which came with vac with this new design. Pleased that Lowe's carries this filter as it saved me a trip to Home Depot or ordering online.
