charged as instructed out of box ran for a few minutes went dead would not hold charge

Excellent product when working.

We have had our SV780_N14 for a number of years and wife has been extremely happy Then it happened. Fully charge (checked unit with voltmeter) turn unit on runs for about 3 seconds and shuts down try again same results. We love this unit and I want to try and fix it.

Doesn’t hold charge

I’ve had two of these in two years. They don’t hold a charge after using for a couple of months. Definitely won’t be purchasing again

Poor charge

I've used this product maybe 5 times and it stopped holding a charge, would turn it on and it would shut off in less then 10 seconds, had it for less then a month, very disappointed.

Piece of Junk!!

We purchased Two(2) after 6 weks BOTH Power-Brush attachments Stopped working...Useless...Shoddy manufacture and from SHARK a company that Advertises itself as the 'BEST'.....Nope TOTAL JUNK!! Shameful.

Malfunctioning battery

I got this as a gift 5 years ago. The battery lasted for 20min tops and now it won't hold a charge. My parents had a similar one from another brand for 20 years that never had battery issues.

Dead after less than six months

Battery will not hold charge. It does not matter how much you charge it, the vacuum will only stay on for about 10 seconds. I've barely used this product and I'm very disappointed

Got this after buying one as a gift for someone and they raved about it. Does a great job on carpet and hard surfaces! So much better than the last one we had. Brush roll is the key to carpet success!

Homeowner

This hand held battery powered vacuum replaced my original one from 7 + years ago. Lowe's was the only place I could find the identical unit. This unit has always worked great over the years and I it just started to have charging troubles. If anyone purchases this item make sure you un-plug the charger after the green light goes out. This will maintain a long battery life. Purchasing this item from Lowe's was easy and was delivered on time to their store for me to pick up.

Looks Good...Time Will Tell

I have only had this vacuum a short time. Its main function is to vacuum some carpeted steps we have. I replaced a Red Devil corded hand vacuum that abruptly failed (motor) , which is something I have never experienced in any vacuum I have owned - and I am pushing 70. This vacuum is not as powerful as the Red Devil was but gets the job done adequately. Upside is that the Shark is much lighter and, since it is cordless, it is much easier to use. Shark pet perfect ll

Perfect for vacuuming stairs & reaching into small corners & spaces. Have 2 cats & this is perfect for small messes, furniture & quick clean up. Always happy when I don't have to pull out the upright vacuum. Definitely recommend for small jobs.

Needs a thrust bearing

The rotating brushes stopped rotating, and the battery failed after a couple of years. I replaced the batteries and disassembled the rotating head. The belt had slipped off the drive pulley. I put it back together and it worked. For about five seconds ): Disassembly and reassembly produced the same results. The motor shaft is free to slip, and in use if it slips so that the drive pulley is pushed away, the belt comes off. The tension in the belt should prevent that, but I suppose with wear, t...

Stops working from time to time and it costs too much money for it to not work properly

It is my favorite kitchen appliance. Although I use it everywhere. I use it daily for picking up the kibble my cats spill.

Stop working in less than a year

Very disappointed about this product At first i was happy . Approximately 6months it stop working. The life of the battery isn't good.

Love this vac!

I've had one for going on three years and it's worked great, never failed me. I'm back to purchase a second one for my country house and I'm really surprised at all the negative reviews. At first I primarily used it to pick up crumbs and junk in the corners of the kitchen, but with Covid restrictions, I'm grooming my dog at home and keeping my car clean myself and my Shark has blown me away with it's ability to vacuum fluffy white dog fur off the sofa and clean the carpets in my car.

Really cleans up pet hair!

This is our 2nd Shark Pet Perfect hand vacuum. Our previous one has been regularly used for almost 4 years and was still working but the battery was starting to go. The rotating brush that attaches works well to remove cat hair from upholstery or rugs. It’s just a good all-around hand vac. I’ve just ordered a new battery for the old unit. A little pricey but we can use it in a different location. Great product!
