Would RecommendI like the safe but the plastic latch is very cheap and almost flimsy. It does not open and close easily and I’m afraid that it’s going to snap off if I’m not careful. Also the lid does not seem to close flush. The front has a little more space than the back of the lid when closed.

Safe review for rubber seal improvement.
The safe is great for fire protection but the rubber seal ring around the lid is too thick and lid does not close to lock position. Using the safe without the water seal ring and closes fine.

Would Not RecommendThe latch/lock is made of flimsy plastic, and it seems to be easy to break while closing and opening it. The safe is fairly heavy, and large, so be sure to have an adequate location for it

Flimsy locking latch
Would Not RecommendI was looking forward to being able to secure my documents, my concern is how hard it is to lock the unit. I hope when I need the documents I will be able to get to them. For how sturdy the unit is I'm disappointed on how flimsy the latch is to lock and open the safe.

Latch Issue
Would Not RecommendSnap latch will not work unless pressure is applied to the lid. Even then, force is required. I feel as the latch may break. I will apply silicon spray to see if that will remedy the issue.
