Would Not RecommendThe interior locking clasp is made of metal, while the closing latch that "secures" the document safe is made of plastic. In the event of a fire the plastic latch would easily melt rendering the safe to open if it is knocked over by debris. For the price, it is a wonderful product to secure important documents (in an environment that is fireproof) from children, but an actual safe, no. Great job on the the "safe" chassis, but poor compleation with the cheap latch that could easily be opened ...

Would RecommendJust purchased and am hopeful fire and water ratings will be accurate in the unfortunate situation I need to test them. Keys and latching system seem to be the weak links. Not sure how I will retrieve the items inside if the safe has to endure a fire. Overall satisfaction tbd. I pray I never have to put it to a test. Your terms and conditions seem a little misleading and I noticed you offered them after a review is written. Hmm.
