Would Not RecommendAdvertised as 4 inches deep but the only way it becomes 4 inches is if you include the 1 inch depression in the lid. That's not 4 inches deep no matter how you measure it. Deep means deep...not with an inch in the lid.

Great Product; instructions need a bit of work.
Would Recommend[Employee of sentrysafe] Great Box. I was surprised to learn from the directions that one should not store the box in its side (with the handle facing upwards, like a briefcase). Also, I didn’t really understand the comment in the materials about using/needing an additional interior container. You should make this language clearer. Otherwise, it’s great. And THANK YOU for including two keys!

Solid but could be improved
Feels solid but is heavy to carry in an emergency. Lock seems a bit flimsy as it is plastic. Interior dimensions make it tight to fit a standard 8 1/2 by 11 document with curling the edge. That being said, it was large enough to hold everything I needed to put in it. Would be nice to have a slightly larger interior (increase by 1/2 inch in both dimensions). Hopefully it is as fire resistant and waterproof as claimed in a disaster situation.

Not Suitable For Intended Use!
Intended use was to store valuable mechanics. Airtight seal prevents this. Removed airtight seal in order to allow free air circulation. Remains to be tested. Given the mass and weight of the object, the retractable handle feels slightly flimsy and fragile. Time will tell...
