Crappy plastic opening mechanism
Would Not RecommendThe opening mechanism is a piece of crap. Other reviews said the same thing but I was hoping they were wrong. They were not! The first safe we got was awesome but they changed the opening and closing mechanism. What would you fix that which wasn't broke. Their newer style is crap!

This fireproof file box was not in the immediate sight of shoppers. I spoke to sales associate "JV", who located it and made it available. JV then assisted in moving it to Jess, at cashier counter. Both JV, and Jess, were very accommodating in answering all questions. Appreciated Jess making sure that I was compensated for my Veteran discount as well.

Piece of junk. Lock got stuck halfway closed.
Would Not RecommendToday, while putting a paper folder inside of the safe, I was able to open the safe but then when trying to lock it, the key came out halfway through the turn to lock and I couldn't put the key back in. I was able to use a hollow cylindrical piece of an inkpen to turn the tube lock. Buyers beware.
Heavier than expected but happy!
Would RecommendA touch heavier than I was expecting but offset by the fact that it is much roomier than just a box. I appreicated them explaining about monitoring contents that may be sensitive to moisture by placing them inside a sealed container.
