I have used Scotts 4 bag system for 20+ years and when combined with the right amount of water (I have an irrigation system) it is unbeatable - the envy of my neighbors. I have used it from scratch on my own lawn twice (moved from one residence to another) and on son and daughter's lawns and have fantastic lawns. Daughter does not have irrigation and still fantastic. Son gets a little lax on application and while still great, missing a bag here and there does show. So, my words of wisdom are...
