Used to be great. Now sub par.

I have used Dobies for 20 years. A few months back the color changed to a bright yellow. But what else happened is that the quality suffered a serious decline. The outer covering now tears easily. A new one is torn from normal washing in a week. They used to last months! I suspect they changed suppliers or manufacturing process. Too bad.

Terrible color

Same product, but the color change from neutral to bright yellow is terrible. Makes it look cheaper. Sad they changed it after having an amazing performing and looking product for decades.

No I destroyed 2 of em trying to scrubbing the hard water out of the tub

New and improved is new but NOT improved

I have been using Dobie pads for decades. Yes, they ripped sooner than in the past but the sponge part inside was much better than the 'new and improved' ones I just got-they are bright fluorescent yellow, yuck, and the sponge inside is thinner and less effective, meaning it does not hold the dish soap for longer than a 2-3 dishes or bowls. Very disappointed. Bring back the originals please!

Best dish sponges

These are the best for dishes! They do not stink up or retain tons of water. great for long term use.

More changes for the worse :(

I have been using these for YEARS. Just went to replenish my supply and so disappointed to see the packaging changed and the color! The mesh is now a very loud yellow. The white was so much more peaceful looking. Why do companies insist on messing with stuff that AIN’T BROKE?!?! Are they bored? Is someone trying to keep their job relevant? I will never understand it.

I like these for cleaning and cheap enough to replace often.

Product changed, quality declined!

ith the colored versions. I’ve purchased many colored boxes over the last few years as accent sponges, but unlike the yellow versions, the colored ones all deteriorated and tore quickly, and the seams would come apart. See my photo for a current week-old green one versus a many month old original yellow. But now I see the yellow have changed too— and NOT for the better. Happy colors

I’ve used Dobbie sponges for years. Imagine my surprise when I saw the updated sponges in new happy colors! The size is perfect and they are more flexible than the original light yellow one.

Why did you change a great product?

I've been washing my dishes with Dobie for maybe half a century. My late mother also used them. The inner sponge was a pale yellow, and the outer covering seemed to be uncolored. Suddenly the company has decided to dye the whole thing a more intense yellow color that makes me think toxic dye may leach onto my dishes and contaminate them. Unless/until they go back to the old design, I'm looking for an alternative.

Always use Dobie pads.
