Good quality for a very good price
Would RecommendWe bought 3 of these lock sets to replace our single cylinder Schlage locks. These locks seem more robust than the ones we replaced. They also included a reinforced plate for the jamb. The action is very smooth. I couldn't see any plastic in this thing either. My only complaint is the screw covers. They are a bronze color metal and the design is some kind of press in kind. Only problem is they fall out very easily. Both are lost on one door and I used Elmer's glue to hold them in on another. Ov...
Fantastic, easy install
Would RecommendI was a little leary of drilling huge holes in my doors in this old house built in 1898, but the job was relatively easy with the right tools. The 2 1/8" and 1" hole saws, then the chisel to make the recess for the plates. This house has never had a decent lock in it's 115yr old life, the lock went in and looked like a factory install.
