What Customers Are Saying
The product has a mixed reception. Some customers appreciate its sturdy construction, large capacity, and safety features, while many others find the complicated pouring mechanism extremely difficult to use. The main complaints are that the spout is awkward and hard to operate, requiring two hands, and the built-in filter restricts the flow rate, causing the gas pump to shut off prematurely. Several customers also reported significant leakage and spills around the spout. Overall, the consensus is that the product sacrifices usability and convenience in the name of safety features, and many customers recommend finding a simpler gas can design.

Ok can, terrible nozzle design!
Would Not RecommendAs with all these new nozzle designs, this one is awful. It requires you to vent it to release vacuum. Be sure to do this downwind because it sprays out a mist of gas every time you do it. I got a face full the first time and to be clear, i had the nozzle facing away from me. The breeze just caught the spray and blew it in my face. So much for eco design!

Dangerous
Would Not RecommendNo stars really! As soon as I put gas in this can it has leaked. From the base of the nozzle where it connects to the can. It leaked while pouring, capped and it would vaporize out of the neck and leak gas onto the garage floor or just transporting the gas can. Retailers should take these off their shelves. Maybe it was just a certain lot but that lot should be recalled.
Reliable and Well‑Designed 5‑Gallon Gas Can from L
Would RecommendI recently picked up a 5‑Gallon Plastic Gasoline Can from Lowe’s, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs. The build quality is excellent—sturdy, durable plastic that feels like it will hold up for years. The design is thoughtfully engineered, with comfortable handles that make carrying and pouring much easier than older-style cans I’ve owned. One of the standout features is the spill‑resistant spout. Whether I’m refueling lawn equipment or topping off a generator, the flow is smo...
