Fire started internal to dryer, not lint related
Would Not RecommendMy wife noted a smokey smell from the dryer. Upon inspection, I found a black charred mess inside of the dryer. I don't know what component failed and started a fire. This could have started a major fire in my house, especially when combined with gas. Safety should be overall the greatest concern.

Bought to replace prior dryer
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Samsung dryer to replace prior dryer with identical model. Prior Samsung dryer lasted 5 years, so did not meet our expectations. The heater went out and no appliance repair services in our area would work on a Samsung model. However, we still have an operating Samsung washer, so at this time we decided to replace the dryer and stay with Samsung. If our current washer/ dryer combo goes out in the next 5 years, we will change brands.

Poor Quality and Very Disappointing

Within just one month, one unit completely stopped working and had to be replaced. The replacement is also very loud and uncomfortable to use. For the price and the brand’s reputation, I had hoped for something more reliable, but this product fell short. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend it.

Then we were stuck pulling shards of glass out of our still wet clothing since the inner glass on the door shattered within 10 minutes from the start of a cycle. Absolutely the worst product!

I made the same mistake twice: the first Samsung gas dryer lasted probably 3 years, The second died after the warranty (1 year). Now I have a real pleasure to look for the way to repair, Worry-Free technicians are not able to find parts (spcifically "main circuit board"), Samsung does not have it neither .... Not durable
3 years old and essential started a fire/dense smoke in our closet with the motor needing to be replaced. Servicing through Samsung has not been helpful and big charges as we are out of the 1 year warranty. Very frustrating for what we thought was a high end device. Not planning on buying additional samsung products based on this experience.

Do NOT buy this product! We have purchased it less than 18 months ago and we had plenty of issues. The latest one is the heating piece who broke completely due to overheating. Technician said that the one placed originally by Samsung is bad quality and super thin. I WOULD NOT make the mistake of purchasing this item again.

Failed one day after warranty expired
Would Not RecommendI bought this a year and a week ago. Exactly one day after the warranty expired, the dryer stopped working. It would not heat up. I went through the process of troubleshooting and discovered that the control board had failed. ONE DAY AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED!!!! I replaced the control board and on the dryer works.
