A Perfectly Calibrated Saw, Right Out of the Box

I’ve already unboxed it and put it to the test. The fence is convenient; instead of a laser guide, it uses a shadow line—which is actually preferable for indoor work. The overall movement is smooth and feels substantial. The construction is quite rigid (there is no wobble during cuts), and it saws perfectly straight and clean. Outstanding!

Upgrading from a single bevel, non-sliding saw. The Skil is outstanding. Solid build. Feature rich. Bevel was slightly off 90 out of the box but easy to adjust. Great value.

True Bargain Buy

I can without a doubt say that this was a great ourchase, got it while on sale which is even better. This may not be your "top of the line" brand but it is a workhorse with good build quality. Im a solid Milwaukee, Craftsman,Lincoln sorts of guy but SKIL makes a solid product for a price thay you dont need to pull out the Lowes card for. Added bonus is the black and red matches my garage shop well

Exactly what I need and more

The best budget saw on the market

Wanted to upgrade to a sliding saw but didn't want to spend dewalt, or bosch money. This is easily the best sub $400 saw on the market. It was accurate out of box, perfectly in square, even at full extension.

Really Good Saw

This Skil 10” dual bevel compound miter saw is a great bang for the buck choice. It is built solidly and has a very complete feature set. The saw was adjusted spot on right out of the box. It cuts square and plumb with ease. The 15A motor is sufficiently powerful enough for anything I will ever need to use it for. I would definitely recommend this saw and without a doubt would purchase again.

Very accurate and easy to set up

This was my first miter saw. I recently got heavier into woodworking and had been shopping around for a while for a good reliable saw and stumbled across Skil. For the price point it it basically covers everything you would want/need in a miter saw, makes accurate cuts no problem. Some of the hardware definitely feels cheap but overall it's a great saw.
