First time paint prep

Seems to be holding a prime finsh in the out door elements.

Product worked very well. We appreciated the Lowes employee who helped us and made the recommendation.

Used it on an old wagon

I scraped off the old paint as well as I could with a wire brush. Then sprayed on the Rusty Metal Primer. Followed that with another Rust-oleum spray paint. It worked well. It will give us another year or two wear out of that old wagon. I was very happy with the results.

Good coverage at a decent price.

I liked this product however did find the same brand cheaper else where. It provided good coverage and was easy to use. I would definitely recommend.

As long as you prepare the surface for primer, the product works great

It just does what it is designed to do. Easy to use. Easy cap to get off

The spray tip cloggs too easily

After several uses with a substantial amount of time between uses, the spray tip clogs with dried paint and I haven't found a way to un-clog or prevent clogging. Maybe a redesign of the spray nozzle is required.

Good Primer Product

Bought some of this to paint metal fence posts that had a good amount of surface rust. Wiped the posts down with a heavy rag and paint thinner a couple of times to get as much rust as i could off (no I didn't want to sand it--too much work), let it dry and put on a good coat of this primer. Over a year later, no signs of rust coming through the primer and the post still look good and I like the texture it leaves behind. So I bought a few more cans to paint some metal cattle panels.

Best spray paint

Covers great, no clogs, Rust-oleum is the best spray paint, in my opinion

was excited, now mad

I bought this product to prime outdoor furniture, but after about 1 minute, the sprayer stopped working. I took off the top to soak it like the instructions say to, and it did not work. I am very mad because I bought 2 of these, and it happened to both of them!!! I was spraying the pieces in 84 degree weather with 74% humidity. Very frustrated that this product, which is probably a good product, does NOT work!!!!
