Is it dust or paint?

Used 2 cans for a 2-person metal glider. Outside temp was approaching 90 degrees, but not quite there. In the shade holding the can approximately 12" away from the surface and it was like spraying dust. Let it dry, brushed off dust, wiped w/mineral spirits. Resanded because surface so rough. Cleaned and tried again today w/temps in the seventies. Gray thread like strands floated through the air. Little to no wind on either attempt. Will try a different primer.

Buy more than you need

One of my three cans broke immediately. Swapped out the spray tip and no change, it was broken or clogged inside the can.

Needed to repaint the bumpers on my car

I re-painted the plastic bumpers on my 87' Scirocco and applied this primer after prepping the plastic. The primer covers well and the top coat adhered well. It is easy to use and I would definitely purchase the primer again in the future.

Refinish antique metal porch chairs

After a lot of rust removal, primer went on well, finish coats look great. Lookin forward to many years of use for these renewed chairs.

Worst primer I have ever used

I think I got a really old can, I've never had this issue with any paint/primer. One minute it's spraying fine, then small globs of it will spray out making a spackled texture. Basically ruined what I was trying to paint, now I get to spend a bunch more time sanding or stripping it off.

Worked Great

Primed steel shelf standards and brackets for black spray paint. Best primer for spray painting I've used (better than standard Rustoleum primer), gave great adhesion for paint layer. Good quantity out of each can.

Paint sticks

This is an excellent paint for preparing older material. No Paint removal needed, just smooth sand rough spots, spray with gray and an hour later, you are ready for the top / finish coat. Stays on, looks great.

excellent product

Got this to bond to a stained solid wood desk. Worked great and went on evenly with no issues. Even though it was not optimal temperature, I still had pretty good results from the product.

This bonding primer does an excellent job.

I used this to prime a metal door sill that had paint spots and grime on it. The primed surface was excellent and the top coat of non-slip paint has great adhesion to the primed surface. Nice even spray, too.

I'd buy again...

Good primer... make sure you are buying the one for your surface, and you'll be pleased!

Primer for galvanized metal.

I needed to repaint a boat trailer that had galvanized fenders. Rust-Oleum folks told me that this primer was needed. Too early to tell, but so far... so good.
