Would RecommendAdding a primer is an art and this paint is rich. Your surface must be ready, of course! Since it is a semi glass all imperfections, particularly in the application, will be more likely to show. For me the key is lighter than usual coats than other rustoleum spray paints. This one is less forgiving but just may give you the result your after which for me is a smooth gloss. Now since it has a primer does this mean you can or should skip a separate primer?
