This system was just what I wanted to get my garage organized. It is well built, and super easy to install. It's the reason I look to Rubbermaid first for many of my home-goods. Unit won't fit standard 16" on center wall studs

I read and understood the instructions. Leveled drilled and placed fasteners as specified. The instructions were simple and concise and indicate the unit must be fasted to the stud at each end. The only problem is the holes in the bar are NOT spaced for 16" on center studs. The bar is actually shortly less than 32 inches and the holes at each end are at least 1/2 inch from the end, which means the holes you drilled in your wall will not match the holes in the bar (there are no holes at 32"). Some great features.

The concept is a great idea, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The mounting hardware, especially the plastic inserts, are substandard. Two broke on installation and I went to the local hardware store to find better replacements. Some of the hooks do not have a lock feature and so they slide around on the rail. I strongly encourage putting a locking feature on each hook.

FastTrack hooks not sold separately

I needed to buy more of the hooks that came with my 6 piece kit and found out they were not offered without the purchase of another kit. NOT GOOD! FastTrack system is not very adaptable to certain specific needs.

Get Organized

Recently found myself with too many tools leaning against walls and falling over from time to time. I was looking for a medium duty system that was also flexible to add, subtract, or move around as my needs and tool quantity changed. The fast track system answered those questions for me. In fact, the 6 piece kit was the third one I purchased having previously purchased too 7' long rails and hangars a-la-cart. I will continue to add to my fast track collection. Fasttrack System very good

In two houses I have probably invested in nearly 100 feet of rail and innumerable hooks of every type but I cannot find these 1-handle hooks shown in the picture here. Are these available individually? I've search the web and have seen these only as a kit. Thanks.

This is how you get single hooks...

This is the only way to get single hooks. I don't really understand why they are not sold separately, but they aren't. If you are looking for single hooks, buy this kit. This is why I rate this kit with 1 star. Overall, the FastTrack system is great! We have a substantial amount of items on the wall and it holds everything without doubt!

Poor Engineering - great idea

They rails are too short to be adequately supported across studs. The hooks and most accessories are either not available as singles, or never in stock. I spend too much time searching for what I need to be fruitful. Screw hooks worked well for years, they just aren't as pretty.

good product

good product one concern is that the 32" track needs to be a little bit longer so you can go from center of stud on one side to center of stud on the other end, and need to sell the attachments separate don't make customers buy the whole kit when all they want are a couple of attachments.

Needs to be Longer

Dave C. is absolutely correct. Both the 48" and the 32" products need to be two inches longer. It is simply not possible to hit 4 studs (16" apart) with the 48" product, or three studs (16" apart) with the 32" product (I have both). To hit all 4 studs one would need to install the product at the very edge of the product, which is not possible because there are no installation holes on the edge. On the 48" product, the outside installation holes are 46" apart; on the 32" product, the outside hole...

Single Hooks

Can't find single hooks to purchase without the kit. In reviewing other responses it appears they aren't offered that way.  Disappointing!  If someone from Rubbermaid reads this, start offering them. You'll boost sales!

No single hooks!?

I have spent a few hundred dollars on this system and I obviously like it. Its nuts however that you cannot purchase the single hooks unless you buy the starter kit. All of this system's competitors sell single hooks a la carte. I am going to keep leaving reviews on this problem all over the web until this issue is resolved or at least people are aware of it when they first start investing in this system.

great overall product

I just purchased several rails and accessories which were installed along my garage wall. It looks great overall and an overall simple process. However, I am really frustrated that I cant purchase the single hooks for the system. I have multiple items which could be hung by a sing hook. Please let me know if I am able to purchase some of them.

32" and 48" Rail Dimensions ?!?!

I just bought a 32" and 48" FASTTRACK rails. The rails themselves are exactly 32" and 48" long BUT if you measure the distance between mounting holes on the two rails ... the mounting holes (end to end) are 31" apart on the 32" rail and 47" apart on the 48" rail. That means, if you follow the instruction exactly, you are unable to hit three studs (16" apart) with the 32" rail and you are unable to hit four studs with the 48" rail. I really like this set up however, I felt the bar needed to be longer to accommodate more items.

This is a great way to organize all your equipment and tools laying around. I love it it really cleans up the clutter. easy to install and very durable

Excellent product

I purchased and used the fast track system in my condo's garage. This looked great and was a selling point for the place--the new owner loves it as well. Now, I use the fast track system at my new home/garage. They look great, keep me organized, and hold a good deal of weight--bikes, trimmers, wheelbarrow, etc. I recently purchased this kit for the cleaning closet--just off the kitchen. Great product but dissapointed.

I love the organizational side of this product. It made my laundry room a dream with the ironing board, drying racks and Swiffers off the floor. However, what I am dissapointed in is the fact that you cannot purchase the 1 handle hooks, or the utility hooks sperately from the "kits". That is what brings my over all rating down. Rubbermaid; please make these hooks available for seperate purchase!

Fastrack is an easy install

This product was easy to install and easy to get set up to use. Hooks hold just about anything on the rail.
