What Customers Are Saying
The Rocky Ironclad boots are generally well-received, with many customers praising their comfort, durability, and quality. However, some customers found the boots uncomfortable, with issues like the tongue being sewn too high, the soles being hard and inflexible, and the boots feeling heavy and clunky. Additionally, a few customers experienced quality issues, such as the soles wearing out prematurely or the laces breaking down quickly. Some customers were also disappointed to find that their "Made in the USA" boots were actually manufactured in the Dominican Republic.

Pass
Would Not RecommendThis is a nice looking boot and feels like quality material but I can’t get over the issue with the tongue. Right on top of my foot there is something that digs into my foot and is very uncomfortable. I tried to start the return but haven’t heard back from 3/11/25 when I started that process.

My sister bought me a pair a little bit ago and I love them they look great and they feel great I worked in them for about 3 days/30 hours now and even though they are not broken in yet they are still comfortable when these inevitably break on me I will be buying another pair of these .. the only thing I don't like is that the laces are a bit thin but that's just a preference for me.

Not easy to lace up quickly..must be how thick laces are. 2 weeks, stiil not breaking in well. Tongue too thick and sewed too high. Make my feet sweat badly.

Fifth pair
Would RecommendLove these boots, I have purchased multiple pairs over the last 6-7 years and work as an electrician. Comfortable out of the box and not made in f—-ing China! They last at least a year under construction conditions, wet, cold, mud, drywall dust, etc. I recommend highly!

Thanks for the review!
Great boots.
Would RecommendI have been wearing the Rocky Ironclad waterproof work boots (soft toe) for more than 15 years. I don't know how many pairs I've owned but it's been many. There is no break-in and I wear them 10 - 12 hours a day. I have a pair that I keep polished for when I get half-way dressed up. I wear them with wool socks year round, they are comfortable and give me the support I need. My only boot !

Heavy Duty
Would RecommendThese things are tanks, very thick leather. A bit heavy and needs to break in, but Who would want a thin lightweight work boot.

Had to return because I ordered the 8 inch waterproof boots but my instep is to high to get in the boot. Nice looking boots. Wish I could have kept them.

I've bought 7 pairs in a row of 14 wide
Would RecommendThese were the most comfortable boot I've ever worked in. They usually last me 9 months with a result of less pain in my knees and lower back. I'm really wishing they'd bring them back. If they do I'd love them in black.

Looking for Made in the USA? Be careful!
Would Not RecommendI spent a fair amount of time (apparently not enough) looking for USA made boots and was exited to support American factory workers. Much to my dismay when my boots arrived I discovered I was supporting factory workers from the Dominican Republic. Rocky's website for the Iron Clad product line says they are built in America and that is not true. Only certain Iron Clad boots that state Made in the USA in the individual product description are made in America. If this is a consideration f...

Best boot I’ve found for the past 12 years
Would RecommendI’ve owned 5 pairs of ironclads over a 12 year period, these paired with redhead wool socks all year round, yes even in summer is a match made in heaven many 24 hour shifts doing linework and my feet still don’t hurt unless I don’t wear the wool socks two pair the sole has cracked but continued wearing them and sometimes standing in water covering the boot for 8 hours and still dry feet , amazing boots, they are heavy though.
