Bad quality

I bought these a month ago and when went to wear them the zipper ripped out from the first time I put them on.

I have been buying this Model 2090 boot for 10 years. I use them for everything everyday but mainly like the style as a Harley riding boot. I just got my 6th or 7th pair the other day and when I put one on I noticed that the zipper was a different style. A much smaller plastic zipper with about an 8th of the size of the original. Side zipper broke while sizing them

This is disappointing. This would be the 3rd pair of these I've purchased. They hold up pretty well for the most part. This new generation they got rid of the heavy duty zipper and replaced it with a cheap zipper. First time putting them on to lace them up for sizing the zipper became split. I work as a medic and am wearing them 48 hours/wk. Give us the good zipper back.

Great Boot

Ive owned this boot in the past. I wear them regularly especially on my motorcycles. They typically last about 5-6 years. They do take a week to break in but after that they fit like a glove. Very pleased with purchase.

Decent boots but needs better zipper

I've had three pairs so far. The first two died from constant wear and abuse but they held out for a long time. The second pair not quite as long as the zipper wasn't metal like the first. However, the third, my current pair, have these ridiculous tiny-toothed zippers that seperate with even the tiniest bit of pressure. Rocky was so close to greatness with their earlier designs. Zipper on left boot keeps coming apart seems like the zippers are not as good as what they were years ago

Garbage Zipper

These have always been my go-to boot for Fire/EMS for the last 12+ years but with the new zipper I can honestly say I will no longer be purchasing Rocky products. The zipper is sub-par at best, splitting apart for literally no reason. I’ve now go through 2 pair in the past week and both had the same issue. The store I purchased them from literally told me, the new zipper is junk and try a different boot.

Love the boot but this tiny tooth zipper is not good. It keeps busting open. Need to revert back to the bigger tooth zipper

My favorite boots so far

I bought these as a CO. They're extremely supportive and once they broke in became some of the most comfortable shoes I've owned. They even perform well when surprise jogs are required. However, the heel is very stiff and becomes painful on the hillside.

Horrible zipper quality on Paratrooper boots

I have always bought Rocky Paratrooper boots. I bought a new pair 2 weeks ago to replace the ones I wore out. The new pair is bad quality. I put my boots on for work & during my shift the zippers came unfastened. I then had to pull the zipper down on both boots , doing that was difficult. I then zipped up both boots. Overall a great boot

This is a great product. My only gripe it that’s made with such a subpar zipper. It should be made with a heavy duty zipper. First day the zipper spit. Took the boots to a shoe repair shop and had them install a heavy duty zipper. Now the boot is perfect for duty work.

Quality Has Gone Downhill

I have worn Rocky Boots my entire adult working life, from the military and now as a police officer. These were my favorite boots and I've owned 3 or 4 pairs over the past 17 years. They have replaced the side zip with some inferior product (not a YKK zipper) and it is total garbage. The first pair I got the zipper pull broke, no big deal, stuff happens. Bulky

Bought to replace a different of Rocky Duty Boots I loved. These were stiff and bulky. They may break in and be a good pair.. but I sensed it would be uncomfortable until then. Opted to return

Metal Zipper!

I bought the first pair and the zipper broke when i tried them on. I wish the zipper was still the large metal kind.

Poorly made boots

Bought these boots because I had previously ordered same boots before. They are poorly built. The snap buttons don’t snap. The zippers have changed from the previous order by being a bit smaller or narrow. Both laces were missing the plastic tips. Even though the box was plastic wrapped, the box was damaged. I didn’t notice until removing the plastic wrap.

Rocky Quality

Rocky makes boots that a veteran is proud to wear. I bought my first pair when I got home from Iraq and was impressed with the quality and performance compared to other authorized uniform boots. Now that I am a disabled veteran and civilian I still wear my Rockies. They look good and take a serious kicking.

Zipper is weak

This is my third pair I have bought of this boot. The old version had a heavy duty YKK zipper. The new pair that I just bought online came with a small nylon chincy zipper. The main reason I go with rocky over other similar style boots was that they had the best side zipper. Very disappointed. I am a firefighter, I put on and take off my boots frequently while on duty. I am sure it will fail soon.
